I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to Cynthia Sikes for her many years of service and dedication to our department. At graduation on Friday, Cynthia will be recognized as Assistant Professor Emerita and we congratulate her on this honor. In addition, I would like for you to know that Cynthia's family has endowed a mathematics scholarship in her honor, which will benefit our students for many years to come. I would also like to add that a brick in Cynthia's honor will be placed on the "River of Bricks" at MAA Headquarters in Washington, DC.
